Seehund (Type XXVII B) is a midget submarine manufactured in Germany at the end of World War II. Designed in 1944 and manned by a crew of two, she was used by the German Navy in the final months of the war. One of the few surviving ships is on display in the foyer of the German Naval Museum. The block submarine TYPE XXVII “SEEHUND” was developed on a scale of 1:72. The 1:144 scale previously used for submarines proved to be too small for such a miniature submarine. By using the 1:72 scale, the characteristic shapes of a real ship could be recreated. All graphic elements are high quality, long-lasting prints.
