Compared to conventional macro lenses, the LUMIX S 100mm F2.8 MACRO is approximately two thirds shorter and half the weight. Weighing a total of just 1kg when combined with the LUMIX S5II, the compact, lightweight system can be used with one hand.
Life-size close-up photography
Features a maximum magnification of 1x, allowing you to capture your subject at life size. Capture realistic images of the delicate beauty of flowers, the lives of insects, fine detail on craftworks, the texture of food, and much more. The optimised configuration has 13 elements in 11 groups, including 3 ASPH, 2 UED and 1 ED lenses to minimize aberrations and ensure superb resolution.
Efficient workflow thanks to unified design
LUMIX S 100mm F2.8 MACRO lens has the same size, filter size, and operability as the LUMIX S F1.8 fixed focal length lens series. The centre of gravity is aligned closely, allowing for smooth lens changes when shooting video using a gimbal or drone. In addition, the image rendering performance is also identical, allowing smooth post-production.
Dust, splash and freeze-resistant design
This lens is designed to keep shooting in the toughest conditions thanks to its dust- and splash-resistant construction and allowing you to shoot in temperatures as low as -10 °C.
