The α6600 is packed with features for almost every possible situation, with fast AF, image stabilization and stunning image quality, a large battery and professional 4K HDR (HLG)1 shooting capabilities.

• Wide AF area, super fast AF and stable subject tracking. Densely spaced focus points cover 84% of the frame, and the fast Hybrid AF system combines phase AF and contrast detection AF to achieve the world's fastest focusing speed of 0.02 s2. As the subject moves, the AF points around it are activated to precisely track it.
• High-speed continuous shooting with AF / AE at up to 11 fps. speed Capture at up to 11fps3 with low display lag and 8fps3 with Live View in Burst mode for up to 1164 JPEG (Standard) photos simultaneously. The settings are displayed in the electronic viewfinder, the image is displayed in real time, improving the capture of action scenes.
• Silent continuous shooting will not disturb the peace. When absolute silence is required, silent shooting with no shutter sound is possible at up to 8 fps5, even in AF-C mode. When used in conjunction with Eye Detection AF or Real-time Tracking, you'll expand the range of shooting possibilities.
• Real-time tracking and real-time eye AF
• AI-based object tracking . Camera tracking systems rely on unique AI-based object recognition algorithms6. They process spatial information, including color, texture (lightness) and distance (depth) data, and track the subject's eye and face, all in real time at high speed.
• Real-time human eye detection AF. Even when your portrait subject is moving, real-time eye AF continuously and stably tracks the eyes and focuses the scene. It also works when the subject's face is obscured, backlit, or facing down.
• Real-time AF for animal eye detection. The same eye detection algorithms that help you capture great human portraits are also applied to animals7 for beautiful animal portraits and wildlife shots.
• Right/left eye AF activation by touch. Giving greater importance to the subject's left or right eye is possible not only in the settings, but also by simply touching the camera screen.
• Smooth focus transition. Depending on the condition of your subject, the focus area automatically and seamlessly shifts from the subject's face to the eyes.
• Enabling real-time tracking with a touch. With Touch Tracking, you can simply tap the screen to enable real-time tracking for photos or videos.
• 5-axis optical image stabilization.
• Horizontal and vertical tilt. Compensate for angular shake, also known as horizontal and vertical shake, which is especially evident when shooting at longer focal lengths.
• Horizontal and vertical axes. Compensate for camera shake in the horizontal and vertical directions, which is especially evident at high magnifications such as close-up shots.
• Compensation of translational vibrations. Compensate for panning (rotational shake), which is most evident when the camera is hand-held when shooting long movies.
• How optical image stabilization works. The 5-axis in-body optical image stabilization mechanism used in our full-frame cameras is adapted as an APS-C sensor stabilization device in the α6600 camera. It works on a precision gyro sensor and detects and compensates for shake along five axes, including angular (pitch and roll), horizontal, vertical and yaw, and provides stabilization 5 stops9 faster

• High quality video from p frames. Exmor™ APS-C CMOS sensor, latest generation BIONZ X™ image processor 24.2 megapixels10 APS-C image sensor collects light very efficiently, has a wide sensitivity range and operates quietly even at high ISO settings. Combined with the latest generation BIONZ X image processing module, it allows you to capture images with amazing clarity and texture reproduction.
• Low noise for high ISO sensitivity. Across its wide sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000 (expandable to ISO 50-102400), the α6600 delivers ultra-low noise for high-quality images even in low-light environments.
• Improved color reproduction. Algorithms inherited from our acclaimed full-frame cameras result in accurate color reproduction in the α6600. The rendering of human skin tones and brightly colored flowers is greatly improved. Jagged lines and false colors are also corrected.
• Realistic 4K HDR (HLG) shooting. Universal shooting capabilities All-pixel scanning without pixel quantization enables high-resolution 4K shooting1, while the HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) imaging profile ensures fast HDR performance. Sophisticated image stabilization technology also contributes to image quality.
• Keep your subject in focus. Together, the camera's Fast Hybrid AF system, Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye Detection AF keep your subject in steady and reliable focus, so you can focus on the more creative aspects of your filming.
• Interval shooting for time-lapse videos. The camera has built-in interval shooting11 to shoot time-lapse videos with a custom shooting interval of 1-60 seconds. The resulting images can be stitched together in high resolution on a computer and viewed with a simple in-camera adjustable speed preview.
• S-Log capture support. S-Log3 and S-Log2 gamut curves have high dynamic range (up to 1300% Rec.709) to reduce bleaching and blacking and allow for a wider range of color gradations during installation12.
• Slow motion and fast motion capture. You can record movies in slow motion (up to 5x) and fast motion (up to 60x) directly in camera or use 120fps. Full HD image to create a high-quality slow-motion recording during the editing stage13.
• More convenient external touch functions. Convenient touch functions such as touch focus and touch tracking can be accessed on the α6600's screen14 even when external displays are connected to the camera.
• Tell your stories your way. The α6600 is built for powerful filming, so professionals and enthusiasts alike can share their stories with the world. The 180° rotatable screen helps you shoot video podcasts or compose complex shots. Professional sound is also provided with an external microphone jack and a jack for headphones. The improved grip allows you to reliably and comfortably film for hours.
• The Z's large battery helps you shoot for a long time. To keep you shooting longer, the α6600 has the same high-capacity battery as many of our full-frame cameras15, but this camera remains compact.
• Dust and moisture resistant magnesium body. This camera is dust and moisture resistant16 because its top cover, front cover, inner frame and rear cover are made of lightweight but strong magnesium alloy.
